Top Fiscal Officers Endorse IRV

Los Angeles Controller Laura Chick and California Board of Equalization Chair Judy Chu endorsed IRV. City Controller Chick serves as the taxpayers' watchdog, as well as the City's chief auditor and accountant. BOE Chair Chu oversees the collection of $53 billion in taxes and fees for California's state and local governments.
Once adopted, IRV will save taxpayers $8 to $9 million each local election year.
Gautam Dutta of New America Foundation thanked both leaders: "As two of our state's top fiscal stewards, Controller Chu and BOE Chair Chu support IRV because it will save precious tax dollars while raising voter turnout. We welcome their support."
